Gruess Gott, Leute! I arrived in Germany yesterday after a long day of traveling!! I left Chicago on a Swiss Airlines flight to Zurich, Switzerland at 7:30pm on Sunday, which lasted just over 8 hours. Then I found my way through the Zurich airport to my next flight to Munich which was only about 45 minutes. My aunt Linda was waiting right at the gate for me and drove me to her home in Pfaffenhofen where I am staying for the week. I have never been here before, but it is a very lovely home; much bigger and nicer than it appears from the outside! She showed me to my room, made me a sandwich and then I went took a nap for a bit since I got about 1 hour of sleep on the plane. Then we went and bought a cell phone for me and had dinner: spinach ravioli with meatballs and fresh mushrooms in a cream sauce!!! It was so delicious.Today we walked into Pfaffenhofen's city center to get some groceries from the market and butcher's shop. It was a very pleasant walk and Pfaffenhofen is a very charming town!! After lunch, we drove around in my aunt's Audi convertible to Kloster Scheyern which had a beautiful baroque chapel, and then to the cemetery to visit my uncle's grave, which was also nice. I've relaxed the rest of the day, getting online and getting my new cell phone functional to communicate with the outside world! Otherwise, I am enjoying my adventure, not sure how I feel about beginning a new adventure on Friday at school already :/
